We talk to executives, product owners, and support staff. Everyone has a different definition of success. We capture it all, then synthesize.

We map the current state, not the desired future. This reveals friction points and emotional highs/lows that become our design targets.

We analyze direct and adjacent competitors, but we focus on what they *don't* do. That's where your opportunity lives.

Phase 2:
Synthesis & Strategy

Raw data is noise. Strategy is signal. Here, we transform findings into a blueprint. This is where we make the hard decisions: what to build, what to defer, and what to ignore.

We frame every decision as a trade-off. Simplicity vs. Feature Density is the classic tension. We prioritize the 3 core tasks identified in discovery, deferring advanced features to V2.

Glossary: What we mean by...

User Persona:

Not a fictional character with a name and hobbies. It's a composite of observed behaviors, goals, and constraints. We avoid inventing motivations we haven't witnessed.

Constraint:

Feasibility is assessed here, not later. We involve a lead developer from day one to sanity-check the strategy against the technical stack.
